Professor Tom Baum is internationally recognised as an expert in the study of work and employment in the travel, tourism and hospitality (TTH) industries. He has worked as educator, researcher and consultant for the private sector, governments, international agencies and educational/ training institutions worldwide to address practical and strategic issues relating to TTH. He is author of over 200 scientific papers in this field and has academic degree in training/ development and tourism, including two doctorates. Since March 2021, Tom has been actively contributed to debates about post-COVID tourism, particularly in relation to impacts and longer-term consequences for employment in the industry through research and policy-informing analysis.
