Pablo Ramon, NATIVE Hotels and Accessible Tourism, Madrid, Spain

I am the Founder and DirCom of NATIVE Hotels & Accessible Tourism. I am a sociologist and journalist, committed since youth to the defense of the environment (WWF) and to aspects of socioeconomic development.

Working for travel and tourism promotion (editor of several main magazines on travels in Spain for 20 years) and focused on Accessible Tourism since 2010 I have a perspective focused on sustainability, with the person, the customer, as the central argument of the industry in these times of “new normality” across the planet.

Our aim is to make tourism more accessible for customers with any kind of disability, from a web platform that can be operated in standard mode or also without seeing the keyboard, without touching the keys, by sounds or by blowing into the microphone if we have limitations of hand movement and speech at the same time.

We were Silver Winner of the World Responsible Tourism Awards at the WTM in London, winners of the Trophée Maroc du Tourisme Responsable of the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism or Finalists in Innovation at the WTTC Tourism For Tomorrow Awards in Bangkok 2017.
We are one of the projects promoted by the One Planet Programme of the United Nations for sustainable tourism.
