Dr Michael Palkowski is a researcher and lecturer at the Royal Docks School of business and Law at the University of East London (UEL).
He received his Ph.D. in tourism from Edinburgh Napier University under the supervision of Professor Paul Lynch and Dr Elaine Thomson in October 2020.
He is currently working on a number of papers from this thesis, which are pending publication. In his role at UEL, Michael teaches sustainable tourism development and management, alongside hospitality studies. His main module offerings include “Tourism and Hospitality Concepts and Approaches” and “Sustainable Tourism Development and Destination Management”.
Michael is also the program leader for two courses at UEL:
BA in tourism management and MSc in events and hospitality leadership. His core research interests include sustainable development, critical hospitality approaches and experimental qualitative research.
