Judy Karwacki is the owner of Small Planet Consulting, which she founded in 2002. Small Planet’s tagline “A Better World through Better Tourism” communicates Judy’s commitment to working to the development of sustainable visitor economies. Judy is also a co-owner since 1986 of Jubilee Travel in Saskatoon, a retail travel agency.

She is also a co-creator of the Market Ready ModelTM www.marketreadytourism.org, a system that helps MSMEs put standards in place and deliver a market-ready experience to visitors while contributing to the well-being of destinations and local communities. Judy specializes in tourism product development and marketing, especially experiential travel. Her expertise includes community, indigenous, nature, and birding tourism. Judy has worked with environmentally and culturally vulnerable destinations in over 40 countries. She lives, works, and plays on the traditional, traditional unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, sḵwx̱wú7mesh, sel̓íl̓witulh, and Coast Salish peoples in Vancouver.
