Tourism specialist since 1986, originating from Germany and living now in Malaysia. Travel wholesale product director (outbound) in Germany, in charge of Mediterranean destinations first, then SEA and Sri Lanka, later on, India and China, Indochina.

The change of assignment leads to taking on further destinations in the Middle East and the Indian Ocean, as well as African countries. Attended most of the international trade shows and exhibitions for the respective countries, like ATF, ITB, WTM, ATM, Indaba, and fairs in Pakistan and India. Moved to Malaysia in early 2002, where I joined a hotel chain, advancing to become GM from 2004 onward. Assignments in Kuantan, Langkawi, and Penang, as well as Medan and Bali to lead and market various hotels and resorts, mostly top-notch 4-star properties. Previous member of Skal and MAH and member of the hotel star rating committee in Malaysia.

Hope to be able to play part in reopening tourism for the world, which should and must be sustainable tourism.
