I AM full interested to join the World Tourism Network so as to join the Global Tourism platforms for publicity and advocacy of African tourism through discussions, media releases among other public tourist platforms.
I am a media practicing Journalist and Editor with 25 years’ experience in Journalism as a trained Journalist, specialized on Tourism Reporting, Wildlife and Nature Conservation, Travel Trade focusing at Hotels, Lodges, Ground Tour handling, Airline Industry for Tourism Publicity through local and international media outlets operating in East Africa and Africa.
Specializing in Tourism development and Wildlife Conservation in Africa, I had travelled widely in Tanzania, East Africa, Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean tourist islands for tourism and conservation media programmes and projects.
I had visited the leading Wildlife Parks in Tanzania, Malawi, Botswana, Kenya and Uganda on several tourism and travel news coverage missions and assignments.
I am now working closely with Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) and the Government of Tanzania on Tourism Media development and Marketing projects.
Currently, I am compiling and writing specialized news for The EastAfrican weekly newspaper which is East Africa’s regional newspaper owned and published by Nation Media Group in Nairobi, Kenya and which stands as the leading Regional Media platform covering the six East African Community (EAC) member states of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan.
In Tourism, I am currently writing for eTurboNews (eTN), the leading Travel and Tourism media in the world.
I had participated and covered International, Regional and National Tourism and Travel Exhibitions; among them, the ITB Berlin, INDABA (Durban), KARIBU Travel and Tourism Fair (Tanzania), SITE (Tanzania), KITE (Kenya), The Carnaval International de Victoria (Seychelles), KILIFAIR (Tanzania), among other such tourist events.
I had participated various global tourism platforms and International Tourism Conferences, among them, the Africa Travel Association (ATA) in Africa, IIPT (Africa), Travelers Philanthropy Conference (Tanzania) among other such Travel and Tourism interactive gatherings.
With great passion to market Africa as an upcoming, global tourist destination, I am now studying the African History basing on its rich history and diversified cultures and heritages including the rich African Music, Ancient Civilization, Slave Trade Trails in West Africa, Africans in Diaspora, African Kingdoms in West Africa and Southern Africa among other African heritages.
In Wildlife Conservation, I am campaigning through several media outlets to enhance protection of Africa’s rich and unique wildlife; mostly Mountain Gorillas, Chimpanzees, Black Rhinos, Lions, Elephants, among others.
I feel proud to join the World Tourism Network as to apply my media expertise to enhance tourism development in Africa.
