SATH (Society for Accessible Travel & Hospitality), Jani Nayar, NJ, USA
SATH, since its inception in 1976, has worked tirelessly to make travel accessible for people with disabilities and the elderly population.  Accessible travel has ceased to be a niche market.  According to WHO, 1 billion people or 15% of the world population experience some form of disability. One-fifth of the estimated global total, or between 110 million and 190 million people, experience significant disabilities.  We are joining WTN to make the travel industry take more notice of this lucrative business in travel. We have to train the industry to meet the need for accessibility in travel worldwide. We would also like to be part of the rebuilding of tourism globally so that travelers with disabilities are not left behind.
